Virtudes Street. Skylight of the former English Club building.

From an internal organization point of view, the residential house has a store on the ground floor and housing quarters on the upper floors, displaying a side entrance that opens to a two-flight staircase topped by a skylight. Despite the persistence of narrow strip allotments, the urban landscape of Porto is dotted with skylights that attest the greater importance attached to interior stairwells, which became wider and, therefore, bathed in natural light.
