Voters register at the St. Joseph's Basic School Registration Centre where over 1200 voters have been registered in the first week.

The ongoing registration process for the scheduled 9 January 2011 Southern Sudan Referendum has been proceeding smoothly and without any major incidents. The registration, which will last through 1 December, has been marked by high turnout throughout Southern Sudan and comparatively light turnout in Northern Sudan. Voters are also being registered in eight foreign countries (Egypt, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada and Australia) with a large Southern Sudanese Diaspora presence.
