Mary Lowndes Album Votes for Women

Iconic Artists Suffrage League Album, containing over 212 designs for suffrage banners including textile swatches from the original banners, manuscript designs and drawings, photographs, leaflets and other ephemera. Ephemera includes designs for 'shields', Christmas cards, postcards, letters etc. Some items are by other artists such as Duncan Grant, WF Winter and Mary Sargant.

Drawing, hand drawn, pencil on white paper, Boadicea as a champion of women's suffrage riding a chariot past the Houses of Parliament holding a flag with the words printed in black lettering; 'votes for women', an angel is flying over the chariot holding a wreath, there is an additional image of a mother and child beside the drawing.
