Votive picture of old an Japanese cargo ship called‘Itoni-kaisen’

When boatmen and shipping companies went to pray for safe seas at a shrine or temple, they would bring ema votive pictures with their own ships painted on them. This ema was made in 1841 ad was dedicated at the Ise Shrine on the island of Awashima.
