WA's first match against a touring international team

Western Australia's first match against a touring international team was against England's M.C.C. team. Two matches were played at the beginning and end of their tour on 26-29 October 1907 and 13-16 March 1908. A new press box and scoreboard were erected at the ground prior to the 1907 match in which A.H. Christian 5/132 became the first W.A. player to take five wickets against a touring international team. In the second match, S.H.D. Rowe 105 became the first W.A. player to score a century against a touring  international team.
