This photograph is created by Meliibees. Meliibees is a multidisciplinary artist and curator from The Netherlands. Being a child of the diaspora who grew up far away from her roots, she likes to explore her heritage in her artworks. Meliibees colaborated with clothing line Wase. Wase created beautiful garments made out of crochet. The owner of this brand, Sarah Uwase, works together with single mothers on the pieces. More than a crochet brand, Sarah is focusing on creating job opportunities for single mothers in Rwanda. The shoot took place in Indiba Art Center in Kigali. Model on this picture is Benita.
