Here Weston Park can be seen after alterations by the Staffordshire-based landscape gardener and architect, John Webb. Webb, working with the 2nd Earl of Bradford and his agent, Peter Potter, was responsible for improvements to the landscape park which had both an aesthetic and land-reclaimation purpose. Part of the park to the south of the House had suffered from being waterlogged. This was remedied by the creation of Park Pool, which can be seen on the lower left part of the map. This large body of water was created by new drainage being installed throughout the park, with ditches and concealed drains conveying the water to the newly dug lake. The surrounding farmland landscape, including the hamlet of Beighterton, can also be seen on this map, showing how the main landscape park forms but a part of a wider designed landscape
