This gatescreen, embellished with the Bradford coat of arms and earl's coronet, was created by the Coalbrookdale Company, at nearby Ironbridge, for the 3rd Earl and Countess of Bradford in circa 1865, shortly after the creation of the formal gardens. Originally the ironwork continued, with a further set of two pedestrian gates and a large carriage gate that closed in the carriage ring in fronty of the House. The carriage ring gates were short-lived, having been removed by the 1920s; the carriage gate is now in store at Weston, whilst the pedestrian gates were re-purposed and are now at Blymhill Churchyard.
