Will of Jeong Misu

This is a record by Jeong Misu requesting his wife to administer the household after his death. As he and his wife, Pure and Reverend Lady of the Jeonui Yi clan, had no children, he adopted Jeong Seunghyu, the son of his second cousin, to preserve his family lineage. Before the adoption, Jeong Misu, now over age 60, was facing increasing frailty, and therefore he left this will requesting his wife to manage his slaves and land after his death, and also to make arrangements for the courtesan who had attended on him.
