Photograph of the home at Winston-on-the-Staunton after it burned in 1950. Edward Winston, Patrick and Dorothea Henry’s ninth child, inherited a portion of his father’s Red Hill estate. Edward’s brother John expanded and lived in the main house at Red Hill, while Edward built this home nearby and renamed his portion of the land “Winston-on-the Staunton.”
