A woman’s visage studied in the rigidness of a static pose to draw out a prototype as truthful and illustrative as possible of a sculpture that has to be perfected according to a full circle: this head is a symptom of a research of the completeness of shapes, not because it isn't already the main subject of research of the sculptor but because this harmony is functional to the realization of other artworks for which the artist will willingly search not for perfection but for an approach of it to the truth of everyday life. The essence of Verism is indeed this: to study the reality in the immutability of its shapes an declining it the contingency of everyday life.
