Wooden door with carving and cast iron pediment (Rua das Flores, Porto)

The upper pediment and the spans in some doors and windows are garnished with wrought or cast iron railings to illuminate and/or ventilate the interior space of the dwelling. These are iron railings which, as aesthetic elements, contribute to the nobility of the shapes.
