Wooden mask; polychromed. Possibly used for the role of minister in the topeng dance drama. White face with large half-opened mouth with white inlaid mother-of-pearl teeth. Red lips. Big nose and round, big eyes. Black hair. Scratched skin with black hair used for mustache and eyebrows. Wrinkles around mouth and corner of eyes also indicated in black. High forehead with black painted hair. On the inner side is a peice of leather to bite in order to keep the mask between the teeth. Purchase J. and L. Langewis (Zaandam). Date at the end of the 19th - first half of the 20th century
