This woven tapestry was designed as a seat cover by May Morris, William Morris’s younger daughter. The design features bluebells and other woodland flowers against a dark blue background. May gave the piece to her friend Amy Carruthers Tozer whose descendants presented it to the William Morris Gallery in 2014.
