WWI Memorial Plaque

A Memorial Plaque was issued to the family of Albert Edward Ede of Stamford Township, following his death during service in WWI. Over 1,355,000 plaques were issues to family members in the British Empire, using 450 tons of bronze total. They came to be known as the “Dead Man’s Penny”.
