Torino, Italy

The work was realised by the French illuminator Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre, student of Adélaide Labille-Guiard; she exhibits from 1785 to 1803 at the Salon of the Correspondance and at the Official Salons. In London, she becomes member of the Arts Society. The miniature is an extremely sophisticated work in the drawing as well as in the style; even if the illuminator often used to make self-portraits, it is difficult considering this miniature one of them because of the different features.
