One often finds fairytale-like tranquility in the artworks by Chinese artist Zoe Zhou. The contour of her sculptures is agile and organic, expressing her pursuit of simple beauty in this complicated, cacophonous world. In Just Like a Cloud, the figure, which appears to be as light as a cloud and also as bright as a blooming peony, gracefully sits in the middle of the pond in the garden. The red "air" around it creates a cheerful atmosphere. The sculpture is here to start a conversation with the surroundings: the plants and the people passing by has both become part of the work, which is an example of the artist's praise for nature and freedom, and her own interpretation of peaceful contemplation.
