Poem by Bai Juyi in Running Script

This calligraphy by Dai Jitao features Bai Juyi's yuefu poem, "Faqu", in running script. The poem originally served as an accompaniment to extravagant musical performances in the Tang dynasty, Dai Jitao presented this work to Wang yufeng and it was included in an album of twenty-nine paintings and calligraphy in Wang's collection, completed mostly between 1943 and 1947.
