Gamyeong was the office building of the provincial governor. As the head of the local administration during the Joseon Dynasty, the provincial governor exercised military, administrative, inspection, and judicial authorities within his jurisdiction. The Gyeonggi Governor stayed at Gyeonggi Gamyeong, whose present address is 164, Pyeong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. A stone marker can be seen at the roadside before the front gate of the Seoul Red Cross Hospital.
