The Rise of the Cheongju Craft Biennale 1999, Cheongju Craft Biennale

The Cheongju Craft Biennale, which took its first step in 1999, was held at the Cheongju Arts Center before meeting with the old tobacco processing plant at the beginning of the year. It started with the first theme of "Hand of Harmony," and has been contributing a lot to the development of crafts in Cheongju every two years. It finally became a successful craft festival in 2011 when it shone with Cheongju citizens every two years (the second of its kind) in 2001 (the third of its kind), 2003 (the third of its kind), 2005 (the fourth of its kind), 2005 (the fourth of its kind), 2007 (the fifth of its kind) and 2009 (the sixth of its kind) in search of a successful craft festival.
