Bamboo used in Homes

As is typical of areas inhabited by tribal communities, utility items in bamboo are deeply entrenched in the lifestyles of its rural people. The beauty of the many varieties of bamboo lies in its versatility as does the coconut or banana tree serve multiple purposes in other parts of India. Most indigenous tribes in forests and isolated rural areas and even major communities living near small towns have used bamboo to provide for their many needs over centuries. From walls of homes, bridges, fences and walls, fine screens to fishing rods, bamboo shoot for cooking, cooking implements, walking sticks, and even fine jewelry, bamboo has served every imaginable purpose.
