Take a virtual tour of the Hubble Space Telescope’s home for mission operations. Learn about this amazing orbiting spacecraft, visit the room used to command and monitor Hubble, view the area where spacecraft anomalies are investigated, and see equipment that once flew in space aboard Hubble as well as tools that astronauts used to repair and upgrade the observatory.
Tour the entryway to the Space Telescope Operations Control Center (STOCC) at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and gather details about the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope.
In the Mission Operations Room, flight operators command and monitor the orbiting spacecraft from the ground.
Step into the Operations Support Room, where the flight team investigates spacecraft anomalies and verifies new procedures.
The exhibit hallway displays hardware that once flew in space aboard Hubble, astronaut tools, and examples of Hubble technology spinoffs.
In another part of the exhibit hallway, check out tools that astronauts used to repair and upgrade the observatory, as well as a science instrument that helped make some of Hubble's earliest discoveries.
