The Francis Crick Institute is a new biomedical discovery institute in the heart of Kings Cross, dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying health and disease. Our scientists are pioneers, searching for knowledge and insights that will help shape our future. They strive to discover and understand why disease develops and turn this knowledge into new ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, infections and neurodegenerative diseases.
Our mission isn’t just to do science. We want to engage the public in conversations about biomedical research through our public events and exhibition space, as well as our education and community engagement programmes. Take a look at our website to see how you can visit us and taken part in our events.
