The Maj Gen. S.L Bhatia History of Medicine Museum is the central space around which the Department of the History of Medicine of St. John’s Medical College works. It is housed on the 1st floor of the Museum Block in St John’s Research Institute, Bengaluru. The Museum has a second edition reprint of the History of Medicine Paintings made by Robert Thome and sent to Dr. S. L. Bhatia from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer in the 1960s. We also house a large number of medical equipment some of which are hundred years old. The museum is dedicated to the social history of health.
