Moleskine Foundation

Milano, Italy

The Moleskine Foundation is a non-profit organisation that believes that Creativity and Quality Education are key to producing positive change in society and driving our collective future. It is committed to providing youth with unconventional educational tools and experiences that help foster critical thinking, creative doing, life-long learning, with a focus on communities affected by cultural and social deprivation. To achieve this the Foundation works at the intersection of three focus areas: innovative education, art and culture for social transformation, advocacy and cross-cultural awareness.
With a special focus on Africa, the Foundation works closely with local organizations to fund, support and co-create a wide range of distinctive initiatives.

In 2018 Moleskine Foundation launched a call for international creative talents to participate in its touring educational format AtWork: 4 workshops, united under the same theme “I had a dream”. 100 participants, 100 dreams, 100 projects. The tour chapters include: Rome (Italy), N’Djamena (Chad), Kampala (Uganda), Harare (Zimbabwe).

As part of the workshop, each participant produces a notebook that they can choose to donate to the Moleskine Foundation Collection, an archive of over 1,000 unique notebook works by international artists, architects, musicians, film makers, illustrators, intellectuals, philosophers and more. It acts as a collective creativity relay that travels the world and inspires creative minds around the world.
