At the entrance to the famous Closed City of Concarneau (or Walled Town of Concarneau) in southern Brittany, the doors of a unique museum are swinging open to help discover an exceptional maritime heritage. The Musée de la Pêche (Fishing Museum), as part of the national network of French museums (Musée de France), presents an intriguing collection: work tools, heritage relics, real ships and model vessels ... so many discoveries to share with family or friends. The flagship of the collection, the side-trawler Hémérica, is moored at the museum quay. This ship is an immersion in the daily life of sailors for visitors—from living spaces, to the bridge and the fish hold. A must see!
