The City of San Antonio World Heritage Office promotes the UNESCO World Heritage and UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy designation through the implementation of their respective work plans and related projects. The office manages San Antonio’s UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy designation, one of only two cities in the United States with this honor.
The office is committed to promoting and leveraging both designations as catalysts for socioeconomic change and sustainable development.
The World Heritage Office also oversees two historic cultural facilities - Mission Marquee Plaza (the former Mission Drive-In Theater) and the Spanish Governor's Palace.
