Instituto Vladimir Herzog (IVH) is a nonprofit organization founded in June, 2009, to reiterate the commitment of journalist Vladimir Herzog – murdered in 1975, by State agents, during the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985) – to humanity´s highest values, implementing actions destined to preserve Brazil´s History, promote respect to Human Rights and the good practice of Journalism. Our mission is to contribute to society´s engagement in the culture of Justice, Democracy, Human Rights and Freedom of Expression.
