The park was built after the Villa and the Gardens, during the French domination, with the Napoleon imperial decree (September 1805, 14th).
The park's design, by architect Luigi Canonica, a Piermarini’s student, was completed in just three years and at the time of its creation it was reforested with more than 10.000 trees.
