G. M. Vasilevich devoted her entire life to the study, creation and development of the enlightenment and culture of the indigenous minorities of the North, namely the Evenks.
From 1925 to 1969, Glafira Makaryevna visited 11 expeditions in various localities where Evenkis were settled. And for each of her expedition she created photo albums. She not only photographed, but also drew, made sketches, collected sketches, patterns and drawings of the Tunguses themselves. Thus, it supplemented the extensive factual material for research work.
