Mosaic Tiles

Urban artworks are arranged like mosaic tiles throughout the city's districts, creating a vibrant and cohesive art network. The festival's integration of diverse artworks, featuring different sizes, qualities, materials, and colors, enhances livability for Vienna's residents.

Engaging with Art

In order to enhance the accessibility of the artworks, the participating artists were tasked with creating their murals within walking distance of one another, with locations ranging from children's parks to building facades.

I like the material concrete, with all it's errors and the unevenness in  a wall. that makes each artwork individual, gives it character and makes it feel alive.
My art is not about any political statement or about what happens around the world.
Through my works I just want to bring fun.

Parisian artist Kashink's style is defined by "Funtivism", which features four-eyed humanoid figures with masculine features. These figures allow viewers to interpret their ethnicity and gender, encouraging self-reflection and reflection on existing stereotypes, gender roles, and clichés.

The Capistranstiege's historic staircase was conceived as a collective effort by seven renowned national and international artists. The diverse styles and motifs of these artists imbue the staircase with a vibrant new color, providing a temporary respite from the monochromatic walls of the city.

I think this festival is really important for Austria,
but it can serve as a guide for other countries as well.
