Shoes probably worn by Queen Victoria (c. 1843) by Gundry & SonHistoric Royal Palaces
These shoes were thought to have been worn by Queen Victoria. In the mid-19th century, delicate flat shoes or slippers like these were popular and usually produced in black or white. Princess Beatrice's white slippers are another example in the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection.
This pair of slippers was made by the Queen's shoemaker, Richard Gundry & Son, Boot & Shoe Makers. They also produced both her coronation and wedding shoes.
