The StadtPalais – Museum for Stuttgart is much more than a museum – it is an urban culture lab.
Visitors can take part in a wide variety of unusual activities as part of the museum’s programme of events and festivals.
5. TARP SURFING
In front of the StadtPalais, a spectacular “tube” as surfers call a water tunnel, is created with the help of a gigantic piece of blue tarpaulin. Not for surf boards, but you can ride it atop a skateboard.
4. SLIDING
The museum garden boasts a huge water slide. Grab a tyre and enjoy the fun of splashing around in the water. A hit with people of all ages.
3. SLEDGING
In winter, the water slide turns into a 15-metre long, almost 10-metre wide sledge run. Bring along your own plastic sleigh or hire one and enjoy the fun of Stuttgart city centre in winter adventure mode.
2. SURFING
Surfing in the heart of the city.
The mobile surfing station invites all surfing enthusiasts to surf on the B14. A thrill for beginners and surfing pros alike.
1. SKATEBOARDING
Stuttgarters compete against one other in the Palais du Beast skateboard contest.
The contest is held in cooperation with the skateboard shop Arrow & Beast.
