Charles Sherwood Stratton (New Jork January 4, 1838 - Bridgeport July 15, 1883) known as Tom Pouce is the most famous dwarf in Europe. His path began when he was only four years old in Barnum Circus where he learned to sing, dance and perform on stage, he became an international celebrity. In Europe, among his performances we remember his success in 1845 at the Vaudeville theater (Paris), in the comedy “Le petit Poucet” by Dumanoir and Clairville.

Among the various performances we can note that of Pouce together with Mr. Tassin for the comic scene "The king of the mess", and the famous "Little Carriage" pulled by small English horses, which presented itself to the public.
