For the first time the language of street art conquers and redesigns the urban landscape of a suggestive corner of Molise—the village of Civitacampomarano in the province of Campobasso. The streets of the town are the backdrop for the first edition of the CVTà Street Fest Festival. The protagonists are six artists who have left traces of their art in different cities of the world: Biancoshock (Italy), David de la Mano (Uruguay), Pablo S. Herrero (Spain), Hitnes (Italy), ICKS (Italy), UNO (Italy). The artistic direction of the event is by Alice Pasquini, aka AliCè.

Alice Pasquini

Street artist and painter, as well as illustrator and set designer, the Roman artist Alice Pasquini, aka AliCè, is the festival’s art director. She’s brought her art, which mixes themes of female vitality as  to the most important cities of the world, mixing stories of female vitality with a three-dimensional use of works and installations with the use of unusual materials.

Biancoshock

The Milanese Biancoshock (www.biancoshock.com) defines his temporary urban interventions, amplified through photography, videos and the media, as Ephemeralism—a term he coined by himself.

Web 0.0 (2016/2016) by BiancoshockAssociazione Culturale CivitArt

The "Web 0.0" project is the provocative idea of proving that these virtual functions, considered by the vast majority of the population to be fundamental for everyday life, also exist in the countryside, where the connection is struggling to arrive: a sort of internet "in real life" able to demonstrate that in popular traditions and cultures these tools, under other guises, have always existed and have allowed cultural iexchanges at the bar or in the streets of the town.

Icks

The only artist from Molise who was invited to the first edition of CVTà Street Fest, ICKS (www.facebook.com/ICKS.stencil) works with stencils and draws on a pop imagery—reinterpreted with irony and constantly criticizing established stereotypes—to often address social issues.

UNO

By drawing on and updating the lessons of Warhol, Debord and Rotella, UNO plays with advertising techniques.  He changes their conventions through endless repetition and with the use of spraypaint and fluorescent paints in combination with the techniques of poster, collage, decoupage and in general paper. The symbolic face of a famous chocolate ad is used by UNO as an icon of the possible revolution of the individual towards mass society

Pablo S. Herrero

The pictorial language of Spanish Pablo S. Herrero (lasogaalcielo.blogspot.it) is linked to the code of trees and forests. His activity as a muralist is mainly concentrated outside urban centers, inhabiting the suburbs, as well as marginal and rural areas.

Dj Gruff

Top name of the Italian rap scene, he meets the inhabitants of Civitacampomarano, playing with the personal and collective memories of the old vinyls that have survived the passage of time. In this way it will be possible to reconstruct an original soundtrack of memory, building a bridge between past and present. The old records dusted off for the occasion will be updated and revisited by Gruff's scratch

Scr'pell (2016/2016) by Street FoodAssociazione Culturale CivitArt

Street Food

The rediscovery of ancient flavors of the popular civitese tradition that risk being forgotten goes hand in hand with street art, in a real party that makes the eyes and palate happy. Passing from one mural to another, visitors were able to stop to taste typical dishes of Civitacampomarano, cooked by the local ladies: rice with milk (ris cu latt), corn pizza with cabbage (pizz e fogl) , the scrippelle (scr'pell '), the golden and fried bread (pan' nrat) and the chickpeas (the cic). Speaking of street food, the second edition of the CVTà Street Fest saw the presence of Chef Rubio: the chef from Frascati, known to the general public for his television programs and for his social commitment in the kitchen, took part in the unusual role of photographer and special video-reporter, enriching the parterre of the event with his presence and the contribution of his creativity.
