Reg Gasnier

Often referred to as the "Magic Dragon," Reg Gasnier is celebrated as one of the greatest NRL players of all time and a St George legend. He is recognised as a Dragons Immortal, and was one of the original four Immortals conceived by Rugby League Week in 1981.

Gasnier played his entire premiership career with St. George, debuting in 1959. During his career, he played 125 games and scored 127 tries in the Red V, averaging a try per game. He appeared in six Grand Finals between 1960 and 1965.

On the representative stage, Gasnier was an Australian captain, making his Test debut in 1959. He played 39 Tests for Australia and captained the national side in 8 Tests between 1962 and 1967.

He also represented New South Wales in 21 matches against Queensland and touring teams.

Mark Gasnier

Mark Gasnier is the nephew of the legendary Reg Gasnier. He began his football journey in the St. George district, playing for Renown United, captained the Dragons' SG Ball Cup-winning side in 1992.

He was a key player and prolific try-scorer for the Dragons, being named joint Player of the Year in 2006.

He featured in 14 State of Origin matches for New South Wales.

At the representative level, Mark Gasnier made his Test debut at the end of the 2001 season, going on to play 15 Tests for Australia.  His representative career included scoring an extraordinary try in the Centenary Test against New Zealand in 2008.
