McMillan Memorial Library
McMillan Memorial Library, located in Nairobi's central business district, was opened in 1931 making it Kenya's second oldest library. Branches of the library were in later decades opened in Waithaka, Kayole, Makadara and Kaloleni areas of Nairobi.

The Beginning
The Eastlands Library was opened in the late 1960s, and most visitors here are young adults. The library is a stone's throw away from a law court and government administrative offices.
