'They Reminisce Over You' - Always a killer tune at WHQ & a timeless & classic essential for any Hip-Hop collection. You can keep all that gangster waffle, tunes like this are what really matter to the scene

'Voodoo Ray' - One of the landmark UK beats that helped shape dance music as we all know it today. Also one of the biggest debut reactions we can ever recall for a tune. A track that changed the game & properly blew people's minds.

'Southern Freeze' - A proper WHQ classic, this UK act really broke through with this infectious, jazz funk beat & dreamy vocal. Timeless, sophisticated, WHQ dancefloor action

'Promised Land' - One of the massive early House tunes that's never left the record box. Anthemic, uplifting & oozing with optimism, it's a proper cornerstone of our Club

'Bra' - In the early days of WHQ, Cymande were probably the most played act in the Club. This total UK Rare Groove classic, was the final tune spun in the original WHQ on Marlbrough Crescent, the night before it was demolished & we moved WHQ to Curtis Mayfield House in 2003

'Inner City Life' - Since it first exploded out of the UK, Drum & Bass events have always been a big part of WHQ's program. This pivotal tune blew the scene up & still stands out as one of its highest bars

'Boogie Nights' - Just one of the many killer Heatwave cuts that showed all those US cats, that the UK knew exactly where the groove was at. British acts like Heatwave, Hi-Tension & Light of the World were key to us & to the UK Black music scene taking off

'Powershow' - This 14 min epic is one of Fela's finest works & a WHQ stone classic. No one lays a groove out like Fela & his raw sax phrasing & keyboards on here are totally next level. A true musical genius & inspirational leader in every sense, this tune is utterly mind blowing

'Hold On' - This is a total WHQ record. If we had to pick only one tune, this tune would be it. Optimism in the face of struggle personified. Killer beat, killer vocal, killer production & a killer sample, from a blistering Farrakhan speech. That's WHQ Club, right there - Nailed
