Puritip Suriyapatarapun, the artist, uses Lithograph art to portray the story through the interpretation of symbols depicted on everyday items.

Whilst the colors of Thai flag, red, white, and blue, carries a profound national identity, it portrays the political system as well as the culture.

The artist integrated two items into one artwork titled “Inheritance” to contrast each of them, highlighting the distinction with opposite colors to make the finished product stand out.

Such symbol as a national flag depicts how the artist feel towards the society through the illustration of an ordinary activity-cleaning.

Regardless of the simplicity of the object such as a water bucket, once it is filled by a national flag, an item of significance, it provokes questions in different context.

Because of the bucket’s limited capacity, fitting the large flag into a confined space depicts discomfort and limitation.

Despite a small number of elements painted in the picture, its realistic and sophisticated quality created by lithography is able to speak to its viewers, allowing them to deeply decipher the core message.
