The Neo-Gothic palace is situated on a hill, facing the eastern side of the town of Kamieniec Ząbkowicki. The complex is of rectangular size and the four corner towers are more than 30 meters in height.

Looking over the town, the Palace is a symbol of the rich history of the town and the region itself. The first owner of the Palace (then called Schloss Kamenz) was Princess Marianne of the Netherlands.

The enchanting terrace gardens were designed in the 19th century by Peter Joseph Lenné.

Princess Marianne
It is said that Princess Marianne was a free thinker and lived pretty unconventionally for her time. She left her unfaithful husband and openly recognised her illegitimate son. Eventually, she was banished from the Kingdom of Prussia.
What did it mean for her? Due to the banishment decree she could only meet her children and grandchildren during a 24-hour stay in Prussia or outside of the kingdom. Despite this, she remained in close contact with them through her entire life.
