The collections kept in the archives reveal inexhaustible information potential. Through documentation, whatever its nature and support, it is possible to travel through our history, understand facts from the past and point out new perspectives for the present and future!

As the writer José Saramago said:

"Physically, we inhabit a space, but, sentimentally, we are inhabited by a memory. A memory that is that of a space and a time, a memory within which we live, like an island between two seas: one that we call past, the other that we say future. We can navigate the sea of the near past thanks to the personal memory that preserved the memory of its routes, but to navigate the sea of the remote past we will have to use the memories that time has accumulated, the memories of a space continually transformed, so fleeting. like time itself."
