Ruby City

Envisioned in 2007 by the late collector, philanthropist and artist Linda Pace, Ruby City presents works from the Linda Pace Foundation Collection of more than 1,400 paintings, sculptures, installations and video works.

About the Building

The new building, designed by renowned architect Sir David Adjaye OBE, is part of a campus, which also includes Chris Park, a one-acre public green space named in memory of Pace’s son, and Studio, an exhibition space that presents curated shows and programming throughout the year.

Ruby City Lobby

Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed by Sylvie Fleury’s illuminating neon sculpture, which implores them to “be amazing.”

Ruby City Galleries

As you walk upstairs you will find three galleries. Gallery 1 and 2 are changed yearly, while Gallery 3 features Isaac Julien's multi-screen video installations year-round.

Chris Park

You will find Chris Park across the street.

Chris Park opened in 2005 to celebrate the life of Christopher Goldsbury, the son of late philanthropist and artist Linda Pace

Chris Park

The park features lush foliage, inviting walkways, areas of repose, sites of play and most significantly, encounters with art. Artist Teresita Fernández conceived the visual experiences throughout the park.

We are committed to the charitable vision of its founder. Guided by the donor’s conviction that contemporary art is essential to a dynamic society, the Linda Pace Foundation fosters the creation, presentation and understanding of innovative expression through contemporary art.
