Diztortion is a Dutch born songwriter and record producer whose Surinamese ethnic background has played a pivotal role in influencing his music work

In his words, he says “I’m still doing what I used to do back in the day” which demonstrates the profound effect of his roots

For Diztortion the Homeland journey was about understanding the significance of making a home away from home, carrying the Surinamese drum pattern and Caribbean dancehall influence around with him all the while putting Suriname on the map
