The Black Music Coalition (BMC) is a Black led organisation formed in 2020 at a time when a spotlight had been cast on anti-Black systemic racism in the world.

Char Grant, Afryea Henry-Fontaine, Sheryl Nwosu (who is the current Chair of the BMC) and Komali Scott-Jones are at the heart of the organisation forming its executive committee. They are supported by a membership body of Black music execs who work at all levels of the industry.

The Black Music Coalition aims to inspire, empower and encourage both the present and the next generation of Black music professionals and leaders in the industry through carefully curated activations, projects and initiatives which all emanate from our original manifesto.

As an organisation all our members are passionate about ensuring Black execs and creatives gain their proper recognition in an industry we have long been a vital part of, as well as continuing to create a path for those who are coming up behind.
