Solitude

"Solitudes" is a project organized and curated by the collective Temple of the Future * Lost and the
New Renaissance Association.

It kicked off in April 2020 with an open call on Facebook.
Many artists and non-artists have joined and it has increasingly become a greater art work.

The exhibition shows proof of the isolation during the health emergency, since March 2020.

Similarities and differences arise in a very rich and varied set of different forms, materials and languages.

It is not only loneliness that is at the center of the narration, but how we have lived closed within domestic walls, with our feelings and emotions.

Someone wrote poetry to give a rhythm to their emotions and feelings.

Others preferred the photographic medium to stop moments that the Quarantine already seemed to have made eternal.

Others modeled feelings through sculptures and installations.

Others have continued their intimate exercise of listening and self-care.

Some have rediscovered forgotten passions, some others have found out the priorities that are the seed of their own happiness.

Those who have seen time pass and leave traces that are sometimes painful, other times the beginning of new paths.

Who has put order, who has found his place in chaos and who looked for a new balance.

Who has felt alone, and who has find out that he is not alone.

Who described a community entirely marked by new obstacles and limits.
Who has discovered a new self, who has struggled with the old one.

A collective work that reflects our reality. This is a way to go back to seeing ourselves as a community.

Once again, it is art that exorcises fears and opens our eyes to something else and the Temple of the Future * Lost, as a cultural center, has tried to be close to citizens during quarantine periods with music and the invitation to participate in this open call.
