Víctor Solís Garavito was diagnosed with Lyme disease over a decade ago. The disease, spread by tick bites, causes joint pain, fatigue, and stiffness, presenting significant challenges for Víctor.

Running for Recovery

Determined to overcome Lyme disease, Víctor Solís took up marathon running. He ran in a unique 3kg star costume designed by his mother, earning him a Guinness World Record in 2017 for the fastest marathon run while wearing it.

Overcoming Challenges

"Before I was a marathoner I was a person with Lyme and after fighting it, everything is easier. I almost died on several occasions, so I decided to take up exercise as a way to improve my health."
