A Tagged Biodiversity Wall

Here names for selected specimens and groups are available directly in the gigapixel panorama of the biodiversity wall

The Biodiversity Wall (new gigapixel panorama) (2007-08)Museum für Naturkunde Berlin

The biodiversity wall has been created without labels bearing species names. Nature has no labels. We encourage you to take a journey through unlabeled land!

But then ... if you like someone, you try to remember the name. Thus, the next image is a version of the gigapixel panorama with the names of selected species written over it.

Tap into it, find your favorite species, zoom until you can read the names!

We also recommend:

1. A Virtual Reality story of diversity and its loss (contains both English and German version, approximate viewing time: 5 min.).

2. Biodiversity 24 / 3000 / 8 Million – 24 examples from the 3000 species in the wall (approximate viewing time: 25 min., abbreviate by sampling only some species!).
