Dhambit Mununggurr

Dhambit was born into an empire of art royalty - her father a contributor to the Yirrkala Bark Panels and her mother, Gulumbu, a winner of many national and international art prizes.

Mununggur's work has been described as "stars seem to jostle with spirits while spear-wielding warriors battle with monsters surging from the abyss of the Arafura Sea."

Dhambit x Play on Play

At Garma 2022, Dhambit teamed up with Play on Play Collaborative Mural Project - a creative collective run by multi-disciplinary artist Damien Kamholtz (pictured) and Rachel Price.

Based at the entry point of the Gapan Gallery, the mural was created as a gift for the community.
