He helped launched Mission 44, a charitable foundation to support, champion and empower young people from underrepresented groups in the UK. Mission 44 launched with a personal £20million pledge from Lewis, which will be used to support organisations across the country.

Fight against racism
Sir Lewis became the first recipient of a brand-new award at the prestigious Laureus World Sports Awards, for his involvement in the fight against racism.

Hamilton was named the most influential Black person in Britain by The Powerlist 2021 – the annual list of the most powerful people of African, African-Caribbean and African-American heritage in the UK. Read more
