A Showcase of Cornwall

Cornwall is on the South West peninsular of England and is renowned for its beautiful coastline with over 1,000 km along three of its borders.
This diverse landscape is home to a variety of habitats enabling rare species to thrive. Due to the vast coastline and countryside, fishing and agriculture have excelled in Cornwall for decades. 

Cornwall's rich heritage in Tin production has shaped this unique landscape. It was a world leader with over 2,000 mines spanning across our vast county.

You can still take a step back in time and explore these historical sites that have shaped the modern mining scene.

Cornwall is celebrated for its local crafts and unique skills, often being passed down by families for generations.  

With the help of Cornish artists and craftsmen, local resources and ingredients are used to keep traditional practices alive. 

Cornwall is a popular destination for food and drink lovers. Many businesses are using Cornwall as inspiration, coupled with innovative ideas companies are bringing Cornwall to the forefront of the food and drink industry.

 
The iconic Cornish Pasty was designed for miners to eat at work. 
It originally consisted of two halves, sweet and savoury, which were joined by a crimped pastry case. The crimp acted as a utensil for the all in one meal to be enjoyed. A Prima Pasty is a must when in Cornwall! 

The Made in Cornwall Scheme was established 25 years ago in response to a call for recognition of genuine Cornish products. However, since May 2019 a partnership has been created between Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, Cornwall Council and Visit Cornwall. This is to enable the scheme to reach further potential within the county.


Cornwall is renowned for being such a special place, rich in heritage and outstanding natural beauty. It is home to a vibrant business community, producing an extensive range of artistic and handcrafted items, ranging from premium food and drink, through to highly specialist technical products. The scheme has built a reputation for quality and excellence where it showcases the best of Cornish handmade products.


Our Made in Cornwall members are based all over Cornwall and between them create thousands of wonderful products, which can carry the official Made in Cornwall logo.
